'Autobiography of a Band' music video
CF News
Hope you enjoyed our new single and music video 'Autobiography of a Band'. If you haven't listened to the single yet, please visit 'Autobiography of a Band' page now! In case you missed the news we posted last month, we'd like to share the story behind the song again...
Back in Christmas 2025, we watched a film 'Mask' (1985) on telly - the film is based on the life and early death of Roy L. 'Rocky' Dennis, a boy who had craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. The film was great as it was such an inspiring story...also the film features a Bob Seger song 'Katmandu'. We knew the song but hadn't heard it for decades. Anyway, the song made us think that people wanted to go to Kathmandu back in the 60s/70s and we're still living in that kind of reality... However, we've never been to Kathmandu though we lived in the Himalayas for 10 years! Since then, John kept jokingly singing a twisted version of 'Katmandu' that finally evolved into this song 'Autobiography of a Band'. For those into spiritual stuff, the title 'Autobiography of a Band' may remind you of a book 'Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramahansa Yogananda published in 1946. This particular book is very important to us as this was the last book we read in England and was the only book we carried while we're travelling through India. It's all because of Sgt. Peppers..hope you understand what we mean!
In addition, we realised that we have some video footage of McLeod Ganj/Dharamsala that we filmed just before we left the Himalayas. These are very rare footage as we didn't have a camera until 2006 when we got a cheap compact digital camera from a friend during the Japan Tour 2006. However after we arrived in Japan in 2007, we lost all the data on our MacBook therefore we lost all the photos and videos of the Himalayas...so we totally forgot about these rare footage until now. We've accidentally found these footage deep in the old forgotten external hard drive. Having said that, all the footage was filmed in the middle of the Indian monsoon that lasts 3 months so that most footage was very dark except the last footage we used for closing credits for the video 'Autobiography of a Band'. This particular footage was filmed on a rare sunny day during the monsoon in the Himalayas...you can feel happiness among people in the street!
So, enjoy our new music video 'Autobiography of a Band' which is our 16th self-directed/produced music video with rare video footage! This is the first single from our forthcoming new original album we've just started working on...STAY TUNED!!
The single 'Autobiography of a Band' is available on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon and other popular download and streaming sites.
